1 July 2023, it was announced that there will be extended post-study work rights for international graduates with degrees in select areas of verified skill shortage – it grants them an additional two years on their Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485 visa). It was a generous move and now has been re-considered! See the Migration Strategy. Therefore existing 485 holders with select degrees must act quickly to apply before the extension closes.
